Shown is a frame from an animation depicting electrical activity recorded from the brain of a subject pressing a button in response to a visual target. So-called theta-band dynamics (i.e., at a frequency of approximately 4 Hz) recorded in the electroencephalogram (EEG) were found to originate from brain locations represented by the spheres.
