High school curriculum

I applaud the courageous and demanding task of revising curriculum. Has Dr. Redfield had a chance to review the Common Core Standards that are being adopted in the U.S. (http://www.corestandards....)? These are being developed to improve U.S. public education curriculum and may be a useful starting point for identifying what the science understanding of college students are intended to be upon successful adoption and implementation and what edits may be needed.

Indeed, the same thinking should inform the current draft being written of the Next Generation Science Standards by Achieve, Inc. The timing of this discussion couldn't be greater, but the second draft of the NGSS is due out later this fall. Time is of the essence.
