Elegant experiments reintroducing the time element into developmental biology

This is a fascinating paper that methodically explores, with the most current mouse and chick model genetic tools available, the way that time as well as concentration exposure of neural tube cells to Shh determines cell fate. I'd have liked to see the comments of the original reviewers because they must have been very enthusiastic.
